Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Public Health Officer to join our growing team in Johannesburg. This role involves collaborating with health professionals to develop and implement effective public health programs that address health equity and disease prevention. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology and community health.

Responsibilities

• Lead assessments and evaluations of public health programs and interventions.
• Collaborate with local government and organizations to coordinate public health responses.
• Develop educational materials and tools for public health initiatives.
• Monitor and report on local health statistics and trends.
• Ensure compliance with public health regulations and standards.
• Advocate for policies that support public health goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health or related field is highly preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in public health or health education

Certifications

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
