General Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a General Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing engineering solutions across various projects. The role requires a solid understanding of engineering principles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with various teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage engineering projects from conception to completion.
• Conduct site visits to oversee project progress and quality control.
• Coordinate effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Prepare and present technical reports and project updates.
• Collaborate with design and operations teams to implement processes and tools.
• Identify engineering challenges and develop innovative solutions.
• Monitor and manage project budgets and timelines.
• Ensure appropriate testing and quality assurance practices are implemented.
• Document project lessons learned and integrate them into future endeavors.
• Provide technical support to construction teams on-site.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Professional Engineering certification is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in a relevant engineering role

• AutoCAD
