Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Civil Engineer to be part of our ambitious team based in Durban. As a Civil Engineer, you will drive the implementation of engineering principles in projects ranging from commercial to residential developments, ensuring quality and efficiency in all phases of project management.

Responsibilities

• Design both large and small scale structures including highways and bridges.
• Work on project briefs and liaise with clients.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers in project tasks.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate materials for construction.
• Analyze the impact of contracting conditions and policies.
• Identify potential design flaws and propose practical solutions.
• Collaborate with local stakeholders to ensure project acceptance.
• Stay updated with industry standards and technological advancements.
• Provide ongoing support and technical advice during construction phases.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in the civil engineering sector
