Job Description

As a Public Health Specialist, your role will involve designing and executing public health strategies that address community-specific health needs. You will have the opportunity to work with various health professionals and organizations to foster a healthier population in Durban. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure the effectiveness of health programs aimed at prevention and health promotion.

Responsibilities

• Analyze health system effectiveness and outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary health teams.
• Develop community relationships to promote health awareness.
• Conduct training for health initiatives targeting chronic disease prevention.
• Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets.
• Support grant writing for public health projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Epidemiology or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

• 3+ years of experience in health program management.
