Job Description

Join our team to promote public health as a Public Health Specialist. You will engage with the community, implement health interventions, and conduct assessments to inform future health policies and programs.

Responsibilities

• Design and launch community health campaigns focusing on prevention and education.
• Utilize data to create strategies that address public health challenges.
• Foster partnerships with stakeholders to enhance community health resources.
• Evaluate community health programs and report on outcomes and recommendations.
• Research best practices and implement evidence-based approaches in health initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health
• Master's degree in Public Health is beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years in public health programs or similar roles

Technical Skills

• Public Health Policy Development
• Community Health Assessment

Certifications

• Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)

Advantageous

• Familiarity with health information systems: Experience working with electronic health records and reporting systems.
• Bilingual capabilities: Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Afrikaans.
