DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to optimize our cloud services and infrastructure in Cape Town. You will work closely with development teams to implement best practices and automate deployment workflows, ultimately enhancing overall productivity.

Responsibilities

• Engineer automated solutions for deployment and scaling.
• Integrate monitoring solutions for real-time performance tracking.
• Conduct peer code reviews and maintain quality standards.
• Evaluate existing tools and recommend improvements.
• Establish effective collaboration with development teams.
• Participate in post-mortem reviews and incident management.
• Assist in discovering and implementing DevOps best practices.
• Maintain an efficient version control workflow.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering

Technical Skills

• AWS or Azure
• Docker & Kubernetes
• Linux/Unix
• CI/CD Tools
• Scripting Languages
• Version Control Systems (VCS)

Soft Skills

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect

• Experience with Terraform: Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
