Job Description

We are seeking an energetic Catering Manager to oversee our catering department in Durban. The successful candidate will manage event catering, lead staff, and ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality food and service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team of catering staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Create and manage catering schedules and assignments.
  • Build relationships with vendors to secure quality ingredients and supplies.
  • Conduct pre-event meetings with clients to discuss details and expectations.
  • Evaluate and improve catering processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote catering services.
  • Maintain inventory control and waste management practices.
  • Ensure all catering equipment is properly maintained and stored.
  • Stay updated with food trends and incorporate them into the menu.

Requirements

Education
  • Degree in Culinary Management or Hospitality
Experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in catering and event management
