Lead Tank Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a Lead Tank Mechanic to oversee and manage the maintenance and repair activities for our tank fleet. You will ensure the operational readiness and safety of our tanks, leading a skilled team of mechanics to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance schedules and ensure resources are allocated efficiently.
• Manage workflow and set priorities based on operational needs and deadlines.
• Conduct regular inspections to preemptively identify and resolve potential issues.
• Ensure that all repairs are carried out to the highest standards.
• Collaborate with logistics to procure necessary parts and tools promptly.
• Document all maintenance activities and update records accordingly.
• Evaluate the performance of the mechanics, providing feedback and support.
• Work closely with management to improve maintenance processes and operational success.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant Trade Certificate as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
• Additional qualifications in Mechanical Engineering are a plus

Experience

• At least 7 years working with military tank fleets or heavy vehicles.
