Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret prescription orders for accuracy.
  • Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize therapeutic regimens.
  • Conduct medication therapy management and patient follow-ups.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and interns in their daily tasks.
  • Utilize pharmacy management systems for dispensing and record-keeping.
  • Engage in continuous development and training opportunities.
  • Report and document medication errors and adverse reactions.

Requirements

Education
  • BPharm or equivalent degree in Pharmacy
  • Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council is mandatory
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience is preferred
