Stranding Machine Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Stranding Machine Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining stranding machines to ensure the production of high-quality wire and cable products. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of wire production processes and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines by setting up wire reels and ensuring proper calibration.
• Monitor stranding operations and make adjustments to maintain productivity.
• Perform quality inspections on cable products and document results.
• Assist in troubleshooting machinery issues and implement corrective actions.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the production area.
• Work closely with production team members to meet deadlines and efficiency goals.
• Engage in continuous learning about new processes and standards in wire production.
• Maintain accurate records of production output and machine performance.
• Provide feedback on production processes and suggest potential improvements.
• Complete required paperwork for machine maintenance and production logs.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Technical certification in machine operation is advantageous

Experience

• 5 years experience preferred in manufacturing environment

Languages

• English: Fluent
