Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a track record of improving efficiency and effectiveness in supply chain logistics, from procurement to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the overall supply chain strategy.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships.
• Implement processes to streamline supply chain operations.
• Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues promptly.
• Report on supply chain performance metrics and KPIs.
• Work closely with finance and procurement teams to ensure budget adherence.
• Ensure all logistics policies are adhered to and updated as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics management

Technical Skills

• Supply Chain Software
• Data Analysis

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ERP software: Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning software to enhance operational management.
• Knowledge of lean management practices: Understanding of lean principles to minimize waste in the supply chain.
