Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Cloud Engineer (AWS) to join our Johannesburg team. The candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure. If you have hands-on experience with AWS and DevOps practices, we'd love to meet you!

Responsibilities

• Architecting and deploying scalable solutions on AWS.
• Automate deployment processes using scripts and tools.
• Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization of cloud services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless application integration.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical systems.
• Assist in managing budgets and cost efficiency for cloud services.
• Implement and manage IAM roles and policies for security management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Master's degree in Cloud Computing preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of practical experience in cloud engineering and related roles

Technical Skills

• Docker
• Kubernetes

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Problem Solving

Certifications

• CompTIA Cloud+
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Multi-Cloud Deployments: Experience in working with multiple cloud providers for hybrid solutions.
• Experience with Security Best Practices: Awareness of compliance and security best practices in cloud environments.
