Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Cloud Engineer (AWS) to join our Johannesburg team. The candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure. If you have hands-on experience with AWS and DevOps practices, we'd love to meet you!

Responsibilities

• Manage deployment of applications to the cloud platform.
• Conduct cloud migration strategies and execution.
• Create and apply best practices for infrastructure as code.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and ensure operational excellence.
• Optimize costs for cloud operations and ensure usage efficiency.
• Educate and mentor junior staff in cloud technologies and practices.
• Lead projects that improve cloud environments and performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
• Master's degree in Cloud Computing preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of practical experience in cloud engineering and related roles

Technical Skills

• Docker
• Kubernetes

Soft Skills

• Effective Communication
• Problem Solving

Certifications

• CompTIA Cloud+
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Multi-Cloud Deployments: Experience in working with multiple cloud providers for hybrid solutions.
• Experience with Security Best Practices: Awareness of compliance and security best practices in cloud environments.
