General Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a talented General Engineer to join our Bloemfontein team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of engineering principles and be able to apply them to complex projects. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing various engineering projects, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring project scope and deliverables are met.
• Interface with external stakeholders, including contractors and regulatory bodies.
• Utilize engineering software for project modeling and analysis.
• Mentor and assist in the development of junior engineering staff.
• Prepare and present project updates to upper management.
• Maintain accurate project documentation for audit and review purposes.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in relevant discipline is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in general engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Microsoft Project
• Structural Analysis Software

Soft Skills

• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification
• Certified Engineering Technician (CET)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project Management Experience: Experience overseeing engineering projects in a project management capacity.
