The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating insurance applications, analyzing risk factors, and determining coverage amounts. Responsibilities

• Examine insurance applications thoroughly and assess risk levels.
• Negotiate policy terms with clients and agents.
• Maintain relationships with brokers and clients for ongoing business.
• Provide expert recommendations based on applicant profiles.
• Participate in underwriting audits and compliance checks.
• Train new underwriters on assessment and decision-making processes.
• Review and analyze loss data to refine underwriting criteria.
• Develop and maintain underwriting guidelines for various products.
• Assist in marketing efforts by providing insights on client needs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance or Economics
• Advanced qualifications in underwriting preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in underwriting

• Underwriting Software

Certifications

• Associate in Risk Management (ARM)
• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
