Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning, designing, and overseeing various construction projects. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.

Responsibilities

• Design infrastructure projects including roads and bridges.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining quality.
• Liaise with government authorities for project approvals.
• Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately.
• Maintain effective communication with clients regarding project changes.
• Oversee the preparation of contract documents.
• Assist in the development of marketing materials for the firm.
• Review tender submissions and assist in contractor selection.
• Plan project timelines and deliverables effectively.
• Foster a culture of safety and sustainability in all projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in civil engineering and project management

Technical Skills

• Revit
• Land Surveying
• Water Resource Management

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Civil Engineering Technologist (CET)
• Green Building Council Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience with BIM software: Hands-on experience with Building Information Modelling software.
• Networking skills: Ability to build relationships with local stakeholders and clients.
