Job Description

The Delimber Operator plays a crucial role in our logging operations, responsible for efficiently removing branches and limbs from felled trees using specialized machinery. This position demands a focus on safety, precision, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-operation checks on delimbing equipment.
  • Collaborate with the logging crew to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Follow environmental and safety protocols diligently.
  • Document operational data and report on productivity.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Work in various weather conditions while maintaining productivity.

Requirements

Education
  • Grade 10 (Matric) or equivalent
  • Certification in Heavy Equipment Operation is advantageous
Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in forestry or logging operations.
