Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Childcare Worker to join our team in Pretoria. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and interacting with children, creating a safe and stimulating environment, and promoting their emotional and social development.

Responsibilities

• Care for and supervise children, ensuring their safety.
• Organize educational activities that support child development.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding as necessary.
• Engage in outdoor and indoor play with children.
• Communicate effectively with parents about children's progress.
• Document children's activities and milestones.
• Support a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Diploma in Early Childhood Education is preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a childcare setting

Technical Skills

• Learning Activities Planning
• Behavior Management

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Child Development Associate (CDA)
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Fluent in Afrikaans: Ability to communicate fluently in Afrikaans is an advantage.
• Previous experience in educational settings: Work experience that involves teaching or educational activities.
