We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. You will be involved in designing and developing mechanical systems and ensuring they meet the necessary specifications and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of engineering principles coupled with practical experience in project management and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage project timelines and budgets from conception to completion.
• Conduct simulations to validate model performance before production.
• Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality control.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians in best practices and design techniques.
• Stay updated with advancements in mechanical engineering and incorporate them into projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a manufacturing environment
