Seeking a motivated Chemical Engineer to become a part of our innovative team in Durban. In this role, you’ll engage in process optimization, project management, and product development. You will play a key role in enhancing system efficiencies while adhering to regulatory compliance, making a significant impact on our operations and product outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize procedures for chemical production.
• Assist in the design of new chemical processes for commercial production.
• Evaluate performance of manufacturing operations for continuous improvement.
• Ensure that all experiments are conducted in compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Work closely with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with applicable laws.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to integrate engineering solutions.
• Create and present reports on project updates to management.
• Assist in training new staff on chemical processes and safety measures.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to keep up with industry innovations.
• Contribute to the development of standardized procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in the chemical industry
