We are actively seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist to join our research and development team in Durban. This role encompasses conducting complex laboratory tests and analyses to support innovative projects in the healthcare field. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in laboratory practices and a passion for medical research.

Responsibilities

• Assess and validate laboratory results for accuracy and reliability.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.
• Actively participate in laboratory accreditation processes.
• Document all laboratory procedures and update standard operating procedures.
• Work collaboratively with quality assurance teams to maintain standards.
• Utilize electronic health records systems for data management.
• Contribute insights to optimize the workflow and efficiency of laboratory operations.
• Perform troubleshooting on laboratory equipment and processes.
• Facilitate the implementation of new technologies and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science
• Postgraduate diploma in Clinical Laboratory Science is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a research laboratory environment
