Pharmacist

Job Description

We're seeking a Pharmacist to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care to our community. You'll dispense medications, consult with patients, and ensure the safe distribution of prescriptions, all while contributing to the friendly atmosphere at Leading Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the ongoing training and supervision of pharmacy technicians.
• Provide health advice on various over-the-counter medications.
• Address and resolve patient concerns regarding their medication.
• Implement health promotion and disease prevention strategies.
• Participate in pharmacy outreach programs and community health initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting

Certifications

• CPD accredited certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting: Prior work in a clinical environment with direct patient care is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR): Knowledge of using EHR systems for patient management.
