We are on the lookout for a passionate Interior Designer to join our vibrant team at Redesign Interiors in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will possess a flair for creativity and a keen eye for detail, adept at transforming spaces into unique and functional environments. As a part of our team, you will collaborate with clients to understand their vision and preferences, ensuring that each design reflects their personality and lifestyle. You will be responsible for managing projects from concept to completion, providing expert guidance on materials, layouts, and colour schemes.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative design solutions that reflect client needs.
• Prepare detailed floor plans and 3D renderings.
• Work collaboratively with architectural teams to align on key elements.
• Assist in selecting artwork, custom furniture, and textiles.
• Attend design exhibitions to network and gain inspiration.
• Compile project reports and present to stakeholders.
• Train and mentor junior designers on best practices.
• Optimize designs for cost efficiency and sustainability.
• Participate in client presentations and project pitches.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to enhance future designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in high-end residential design

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Photoshop
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Interior Decorator (CID)
• Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer (CKBD)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of commercial design trends: Awareness of current trends in commercial interior design.
• Proficient in design software: Strong proficiency in various design software tools including AutoCAD and SketchUp.
