Job Description

Join us as a Veterinary Technician at Animal Health Specialists in Durban. You'll work closely with our veterinarians to provide top-notch care for pets. Your responsibilities include assisting in surgeries, managing patient records, and educating pet owners on health and wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial assessments of animals upon arrival.
  • Set up examination rooms and prepare for procedures.
  • Administer first aid and emergency care as needed.
  • Order supplies and manage inventory.
  • Participate in community outreach and education programs.
  • Assist with behavioral assessments of animals.
  • Manage scheduling for follow-up visits and appointments.
  • Participate in case discussions with the veterinary team.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Veterinary Science or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Nursing is preferred
Experience
  • Experience in emergency and critical care preferred
