Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated General Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and is keen to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing a range of conditions, prescribing treatments, and providing preventative care and health education to patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive medical evaluations for patients.
• Diagnose ailments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress.
• Offer preventative health advice and lifestyle coaching.
• Maintain and update patient documentation and health history.
• Liaise with specialists and healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Prescribe treatment and medication based on best practices.
• Engage in public health initiatives and screenings in the community.
• Be available for after-hours emergency care and consultation as required.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Additional certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
