Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated General Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and is keen to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment. You will be responsible for diagnosing a range of conditions, prescribing treatments, and providing preventative care and health education to patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed health consultations and physical examinations.
• Identify and manage acute and chronic health conditions.
• Advise patients on healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention.
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complies with healthcare regulations.
• Work alongside nursing and administrative staff to optimize patient flow.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and referrals for specialized care.
• Participate in community health education workshops and seminars.
• Address patient concerns regarding treatment and medications.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Additional certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred

Certifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Certified Medical Examiner (CME)
