Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our team at HealthFirst Medical Centre in Pretoria. You will play a vital role in providing comprehensive medical care, diagnosing and treating illnesses, and promoting health education.

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose patients based on medical history and physical examination.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens as needed.
• Maintain a high level of patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training.
• Support the healthcare team in achieving organizational goals.
• Advocate for patient needs and preferences.

Requirements

Education

• MBChB or equivalent medical degree
• Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years in a general practice setting

Technical Skills

• Patient Management
• Preventative Care

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• IsiZulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Skills in health education and promotion: Experience in educating patients on health and wellness topics.
• Training in mental health first aid: Certification or training in supporting mental health issues.
