Pharmacist

Job Description

As a Pharmacist in our Johannesburg location, you will provide expert medication management and healthcare advice, ensuring that patients receive the best possible pharmaceutical care in a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients regarding medication therapy and compliance.
• Work closely with healthcare teams to optimize drug therapies.
• Conduct regular audits and reviews of pharmacy practices.
• Engage in continuing education to stay current with best practices.
• Develop and implement health promotion and disease prevention programs.
• Assist in managing pharmacy operations and workflow.

Requirements

Education

• PharmD or equivalent
• Masters in Pharmacy Management is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in clinical pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacy
• Regulatory Compliance

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with EMR systems: Experience with Electronic Medical Records systems such as Meditech.
• Fluency in additional languages: Individuals fluent in Afrikaans or Zulu will be preferred.
