Telecommunications Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Telecommunications Technician to join our fast-growing team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various telecommunication systems. A strong understanding of networking principles and hands-on experience with communication equipment are essential to excel in this role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation of telecommunication infrastructure.
• Evaluate and address network performance issues.
• Train staff on the use of telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Manage inventory of telecom tools and supplies.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution for telecommunication systems.
• Implement improvements for system efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Telecommunications or Electronics
• Degree in a related field is an advantage

Experience

• At least 3 years' experience in technical support for telecommunication systems

Certifications

• CompTIA Network+ Certification
