Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our Durban office. This role involves conducting environmental assessments, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental science and a passion for sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental site assessments including sampling and data collection.
• Prepare environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and compliance reports.
• Advise clients on environmental management strategies and regulations.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to support project development.
• Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Stay informed on current environmental issues and trends.
• Facilitate training sessions for clients on environmental compliance.
• Develop written reports for regulatory submissions and internal documentation.
• Support the development of sustainability initiatives within the company.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting

• Field Sampling Techniques
• Data Analysis Software

• Client Management

Certifications

• Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED)
• Certified Environmental Planner (CEP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
