Join our dynamic office as an Actuary, where you'll work on risk assessment and create financial solutions for our clients. We're seeking someone with a solid educational background in Actuarial Science and professional experience in the sector.

Responsibilities

• Utilize statistical and programming skills to analyze actuarial data.
• Draft and refine actuarial reports and ensure accuracy of data presented.
• Support the development of new products by providing expert actuarial insight.
• Interpret and apply legislation relevant to actuarial practices.
• Build and maintain professional relationships within the team and with clients.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science or relevant field
• Fellowship in actuarial societies is a plus

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in actuarial roles

Technical Skills

• Data Analysis Tools
• Actuarial Software (e.g., Prophet)
• Excel for Actuaries

Soft Skills

• Decision Making
• Interpersonal Skills

Certifications

• Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA)
• Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Advanced programming skills in Python: Hands-on experience working with Python in actuarial contexts.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts: Knowledge of machine learning to enhance risk assessment models.
