Job Description

DesignPro Architects is looking for an Architect (Urban Design) to lead our innovative projects. You will work on urban development plans that balance aesthetics, community needs, and environmental sustainability while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead urban design projects from conception to completion.
• Prepare presentation materials for stakeholders.
• Conduct research on local and international design trends.
• Manage relationship with clients throughout project lifecycle.
• Make adjustments to designs based on feedback and changing project needs.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Urban Design preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in community planning or urban design

Technical Skills

• GIS Software
• 3D Modeling Software

Soft Skills

• Negotiation skills
• Organizational abilities

Certifications

• Resident Architect certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in green building design: Proficient in designing environmentally friendly buildings and spaces.
• Knowledge of local zoning laws: Familiarity with regulations governing land use in Johannesburg.
