We are in search of a dedicated Public Health Specialist to join our enthusiastic team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing public health initiatives aimed at improving community health. This position requires a passion for health promotion, expertise in disease prevention, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. You will lead assessments, create health education programs, and develop policies to enhance health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct public speaking engagements to promote health education in the community.
• Assess the effectiveness of health intervention programs and recommend improvements.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to design integrative health solutions.
• Prepare and manage public health budgets and program funding.
• Facilitate focus groups to gather insights on community health concerns.
• Advise on health policy matters to local government agencies.
• Present findings at conferences and public health forums.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or Health Administration
• Master's degree in Public Health or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in program management within public health
