Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing tax returns, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with other finance professionals to provide thorough and accurate financial information, assisting in strategic planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
• Assist in financial planning and risk management.
• Ensure all payroll processes are accurate and timely.
• Provide guidance on accounting best practices.
• Support the finance team in the implementation of new financial systems.
• Analyze financial data and present recommendations.
• Prepare tax returns and manage audits efficiently.
• Work closely with senior management to improve financial performance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CIMA or similar professional qualification is preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
