Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our Pretoria-based team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, analyzing, and overseeing construction projects with a focus on innovation and sustainability in mind. In this role, you'll work closely with other engineers and architects, providing critical input and solutions to complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design for various projects.
• Prepare detailed design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project success.
• Review project plans and specifications, providing feedback as needed.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations and standards.
• Provide technical support during the construction phase and coordinate with construction teams.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure quality control.
• Perform risk assessment to identify potential issues in designs and construction processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
