Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Clinical Psychologist in Cape Town to enhance our mental health efforts. The successful candidate will conduct individual and group therapy sessions, assess client needs, and collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client needs and recommend appropriate services.
• Facilitate therapy sessions, including CBT and IPT.
• Advise on mental health policies and treatment options.
• Document therapy sessions and client interactions comprehensively.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Provide support during client transitions to other services.

Requirements

Education

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology preferred

Experience

• 5+ years' experience in a clinical setting

Technical Skills

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Interpersonal Therapy

Soft Skills

• Critical Thinking
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Advanced Certification in Psychotherapy

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Completion of specialized training in DBT: Training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy is highly advantageous.
• Experience in mental health advocacy: Participation in mental health awareness and advocacy initiatives.
