Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Database Administrator to join our growing team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our database systems, ensuring data integrity and security while supporting our application teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage database installations, configurations, and upgrades.
• Create and maintain user roles and permissions.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for database growth.
• Develop and implement database policies and procedures.
• Analyze and enhance database security protocols.
• Assist in the development of database-related applications.
• Coordinate with IT teams to resolve database issues promptly.
• Provide training and support to end-users as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in database management

• AWS Certified Database Specialty
