We are seeking a skilled Diamond Grader to join our team. As a Diamond Grader, you will be responsible for examining and assessing the quality and value of diamonds based on various criteria such as cut, clarity, color, and carat weight. Your expertise will play a crucial role in determining the quality and authenticity of diamonds, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining our high standards.

Responsibilities

• Use gemological equipment to analyze diamonds thoroughly.
• Deliver detailed reports on diamond grading to clients.
• Provide professional advice on client selections based on experience.
• Collaborate with the sales team to offer expert insights into diamonds.
• Train junior graders on the latest grading standards and practices.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant degree in gemology or jewelry grading

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in diamond grading or gemstone appraisal

Technical Skills

• Ability to adapt to changing market trends
• Strong organizational skills

Soft Skills

• Ability to work efficiently and accurately

Certifications

• Certification in gemological studies

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Fluent

Advantageous

• Advanced knowledge of colored diamonds: Experience in grading various types of diamonds, including colored diamonds.
• Experience in working with rare or large diamonds: Familiarity with the complexities of grading unique stones.
