Pharmacist

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Pharmacist to join our thriving team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will be responsible for providing medication management and counseling, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of medications prescribed to patients. You will play a vital role in our health system, educating patients about their medications and guiding them on how to improve their health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide comprehensive medication therapy management.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Conduct medication therapy reviews and follow up with patients.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

Education

• PharmD or equivalent

Experience

• At least 3 years of pharmacy experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacy
• Medication Therapy Management

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with clinical pharmacy software: Familiarity with systems used for medication management.
• Knowledge of local health regulations: Understanding of pharmacy-related laws and regulations in South Africa.
