Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Tax Consultant to join our team in East London. As a Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for managing client tax returns and providing sound tax advice. Your expertise will help individuals and businesses navigate complex tax laws, ensuring compliance while maximizing tax benefits. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of South African tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex tax situations and develop solutions for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients to clarify tax-related issues.
• Prepare detailed tax projections for businesses and individuals.
• Collaborate with other financial advisors to provide comprehensive services.
• Stay informed about local and international tax regulations.
• Support business development initiatives by networking and attending industry events.
• Evaluate clients' financial situations and recommend tax-efficient strategies.
• Manage a portfolio of clients to ensure timely and efficient services.
• Create content for tax seminars and workshops hosted by the firm.
• Assist in setting up internal processes for more efficient tax filing.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation
• Master's degree in Taxation will be an asset

Experience

• 5+ years of tax consultancy experience

Certifications

• Certified Tax Advisor (CTA)
• Masters in Taxation (preferred)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
