Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in design and analysis, coupled with the ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Lead design reviews and project meetings with stakeholders.
• Develop and implement maintenance procedures for mechanical equipment.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues in existing systems.
• Contribute to innovation and development of new products.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors for project execution.
• Monitor project progress and report on milestones.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical engineering role

Technical Skills

• Prototyping
• Mechanical Design Software

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of industry standards: Understanding of ISO and other relevant quality standards.
