Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing processes for efficient chemical production while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise process flow diagrams and P&IDs.
• Collaborate with R&D to bring innovative products to market.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and interns.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure product standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production deviations.
• Assist in developing cost estimates and project proposals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Master's in Chemical Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry

Technical Skills

• Chemical Process Engineering
• Regulatory Knowledge
• Simulation Tools

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Project Management Professional (PMP): PMP certification or equivalent is an advantage.
