As a Transportation Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of perishable goods during transportation. Your expertise will help maintain high standards while collaborating closely with shippers and receivers.
Responsibilities
Perform inspections on perishable goods to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Document and report any deviations in quality or safety standards.
Collaborate with logistics teams to establish best practices for the transport of perishable goods.
Oversee the loading and unloading processes to ensure goods are handled properly.
Conduct ongoing training on compliance standards for staff involved in handling perishables.
Evaluate and implement improvements in inspection processes.
Liaise with regulatory bodies regarding compliance standards.
Participate in audits and inspections conducted by external agencies.
Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
Support the continuous improvement of quality assurance protocols.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's or higher in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Any additional relevant certifications are a plus
Experience
At least 3 years' experience in logistics, specifically in perishable goods
