Transportation Inspector

Job Description

As a Transportation Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of perishable goods during transportation. Your expertise will help maintain high standards while collaborating closely with shippers and receivers.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on perishable goods to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Document and report any deviations in quality or safety standards.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to establish best practices for the transport of perishable goods.
• Oversee the loading and unloading processes to ensure goods are handled properly.
• Conduct ongoing training on compliance standards for staff involved in handling perishables.
• Evaluate and implement improvements in inspection processes.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies regarding compliance standards.
• Participate in audits and inspections conducted by external agencies.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings.
• Support the continuous improvement of quality assurance protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or higher in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
• Any additional relevant certifications are a plus

Experience

• At least 3 years' experience in logistics, specifically in perishable goods
