Job Description

We are on the lookout for a compassionate Social Worker to join our dedicated team in Durban. Your role will involve providing emotional support and guidance to clients facing various challenges. If you are passionate about making a difference in people's lives, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the social, emotional, and psychological needs of clients.
• Create and implement action plans in collaboration with clients.
• Provide psycho-education to clients and their families.
• Engage with community agencies to facilitate support services.
• Document case notes and maintain client confidentiality.
• Train interns and new staff on best practices in social work.
• Participate in case reviews and program evaluations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
• Honours in Social Work is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of field experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Therapeutic Techniques
• Resource Coordination

Soft Skills

• Active Listening
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Trauma-Informed Care Certification
• Mental Health First Aid Certification is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Conversational
