SOC Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive SOC Analyst to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats. You will engage with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and protocols while conducting thorough investigations of incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure the integrity of systems and networks.
• Evaluate potential threats and assess vulnerabilities within systems.
• Respond swiftly to security incidents and coordinate the incident response team.
• Document security incidents and maintain an organized incident log.
• Provide security training and education to other staff members.
• Engage in continuous improvement of security protocols and incident response.
• Advise management on security risks and mitigation strategies.
• Assist with the investigation of reported breaches and incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or equivalent
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in security operations or related fields

Technical Skills

• Malware Analysis
• Incident Response

Soft Skills

• Communication skills
• Teamwork

Certifications

• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Scripting skills in Python or Bash: Ability to write scripts to automate security tasks.
• Experience with penetration testing: Hands-on experience conducting penetration testing on networks.
