Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Records Manager to take charge of managing patient records, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will enhance documentation processes, supervise record storage, and lead a team dedicated to maintaining accurate health information.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate efficient communication between healthcare providers and the records department.
• Review and improve workflow processes to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
• Evaluate software solutions to improve medical records management.
• Support accreditation processes by ensuring medical records meet required standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Master's degree in Health Administration is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in medical records management

• EHR Systems
• Data Analysis

• Organizational Skills
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

• Familiarity with patient privacy laws: Knowledge of laws governing patient confidentiality and health information privacy.
