VAT Tender Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for a VAT Tender Specialist who will manage and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant local and national regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate VAT records, liaising with clients, and providing expert advice on VAT matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire tender process for VAT-related contracts.
• Analyse bids and negotiate contracts with suppliers.
• Assist internal teams in resolving VAT-related issues.
• Prepare and present VAT compliance reports to management.
• Train staff members on VAT procedures and compliance.
• Monitor changes in VAT regulations and advise accordingly.

Requirements

Education

• Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Professional certification in accounting (ACCA, CIMA, SAIPA, ICB) preferred

Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in VAT management and compliance.

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with SARS communications: Familiarity with dealing with the South African Revenue Service on VAT matters.
