Responsibilities

• Develop detailed engineering designs in accordance with project specifications.
• Coordinate with external consultants and in-house teams.
• Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to design.
• Ensure all projects meet safety and environmental guidelines.
• Assist in project proposal and tender processes.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualifications are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering

Technical Skills

• Civil Engineering Design Software
• Budget Management

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with environmental impact assessments: Ability to conduct and participate in environmental assessments.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations: Understanding of South African construction laws and regulations.
