Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional knowledge in pharmaceuticals, including medication therapies and patient counseling. You will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing consultations to patients, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Your expertise will play a crucial role in patient care and medication management. Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and provide medication counseling to patients.
• Monitor patient drug therapies and communicate with healthcare providers about medication usage.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Conduct health and wellness screenings.
• Educate patients on the safe and effective use of their medications.
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Participate in pharmacy quality improvement programs.
• Train and supervise pharmacy support staff.
• Manage inventory and ensure adequate supply of medications.
• Provide immunization services as per protocol.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
• Master's degree in Pharmacy or Health Sciences is a plus

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience directly related to pharmacy practice
