Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Cape Town office. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects that contribute to the city's infrastructure, focusing on analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the structural design process ensuring innovative solutions.
• Conduct material testing and evaluation.
• Stay up to date with industry advancements and integrate them into projects.
• Develop and implement quality control measures.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide training opportunities.
• Foster a collaborative team environment during project execution.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in the field

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Revit

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• LEED Accredited Professional
• Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Experience with CAD and BIM applications: Hands-on experience with CAD software and Building Information Modeling.
• Knowledge of seismic design principles: Familiarity with seismic design and safety regulations.
