Job Description

As a Telecommunications Equipment Installer and Repairer, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring high standards of safety and compliance in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission telecommunications equipment like pressure transmitters and control valves.
• Assess and improve instrument performance through testing and calibration.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all installations and repairs.
• Work with production and maintenance teams to identify instrumentation-related problems.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and enhance performance.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in telecommunications technology.

Requirements

Education

• Relevant qualification in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering

Experience

• Experience in healthcare or automotive industries is an advantage

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with PLC and SCADA systems
• Ability to operate testing instruments

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Effective communication

Certifications

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent
