Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Engineer to join our innovative team in Durban. In this role, you will be responsible for designing chemical processes, conducting experiments, and optimizing existing procedures to improve efficiency and sustainability. Candidates should have a solid understanding of chemical engineering principles and a passion for research and development.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Participate in sustainability initiatives to reduce environmental impact.
• Design and oversee pilot plant trials for new products.
• Work with suppliers to source chemicals and materials.
• Develop cost-effective solutions for chemical production.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in chemical process development
